SPRING CLEAN UP
Wedgwood Commons Spring Cleaning Event
Date: TBD.....a Saturday in May 2008
Time: Starts at 9:30 a.m., but you are welcome to particpate any time you can during the daylight hours.
Where: Begin at any spot along the creek. Residents will be cleaning up debris in and along the creek all through the commons areas. The creek area is the priority, but those who want to clean up the other areas of the commons such as the open areas or turtle park are invited to spring clean those areas too.
Who: Any and all residents, friends, and families who love our neighborhood! Those who want to work are especially invited, but those who can't work but are willing to provide moral support and encouragement are welcome to cheer us on.
What to wear: Comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, gloves, boots, hip boots, or waders for the brave!
What to bring: Brown paper recycling bags, black plastic trash bags, rakes, shovels, a wagon or wheel barrow to haul bags and debris home or to neighboring homes for trash pickup on Monday, a fun attitude, lots of energy, water, pop, snacks, coffee, etc.
What do you get out of this? A beautiful commons area we can be proud to share, a sense of accomplishment, lots of exercise and burned calories, and to top that off, getting acquainted with neighbors old and new!
Questions??? Contact any board member. If you aren't sure who they are, you are welcome to call Nancy Efrusy (your Vice-President) at 248-661-5597 or email your questions efrusy@yahoo.com.
In case of rain, we will try for the next day, Sunday.
